The Assault Group Tudor nobles

Here's a couple of pics of  my first base of Tudor nobles,  I've still got the base to finish and will get this done later  on in the week.  I've only got 7 border horse to paint and  then this 300 pt  Impetus army is complete and then it's back to painting  some flags or start painting the French. the figures are by the Assault Group and the barded horses are by Eureka.

WIP TAG Tudor standard bearer

Here's a WIP pic of the Tudor noble standard bearer, the rider's by TAG and the horse is by Eureka. I'm not sure how many nobles I'll give barded horses as I'm unsure to what extent they were used at this date. The little info I have is they didn't have time to get the bards from the baggage train at the Battle of Pinkie so charged without them which suggests they used them at other times. cheers Pete

more Tudors for Impetus

Here's a couple more bases for the Tudors, the first is a unit of carabins  which appear to have been pretty successful in the war in scotland and the other is a Tudor shrimpe artillery piece. Little is known about these guns and I didn't have a clue what colour to paint it but think it's turned out okay. It's a funny looking thing though and reminds me of the mouse from fingerbobs.

The Asssault Group Tudors for Impetus

Here's some pics of my completed Tudors; there's nine impetus bases completed and one command  done so far. Initially I'll be painting enough for a 300pt force which means I have an artillery element and four cavalry bases yet to do; I'll add to this once I've painted a 300pt French force. The figures are the excellent TAG Tudors , the flags are my own and the bases are from Ian  at Precision Wargames Supplies, cheers Pete

Yorkist Flags King Edward IV

Here's my representation of a a couple of flags representing Edward Plantagenet, the first is as Earl of March and the second is him as king of England. I've got no idea if these were carried alongside each other however medieval nobility appear to have collected badges/titles etc as they went along so I'm guessing they could have been.  I'm not sure which Yorkist noble to do next so any suggestions would be welcome, cheers and thanks for looking Pete.

Yorkist Flags 2

Here's another couple of flags for Edward Plantagenant, the standard represents the flag of the Earl of March and the second  is my favourite Yorkist banner and represents the banner carried at the Battle of Tewkesbury.

The Assault Group Tudors WIP

Tudor Arquebusiers from TAG: these figures are just about done however the ensign needs finishing off. I had a right carry on with the matt varnish on these and couple needed a repaint, hopefully I've got it sorted now. I've just finished 36 bowmen and have made a start on the billmen so more pics shouldn't be far away. cheers Pete

A couple of TAG ensigns; the flags are printed onto cloth.

The Assault Group Tudor Standard Bearer

Due to an arm injury I haven't completed any flags or painted anything for some time. However here's the first of set of flags for Henry VIII's army in the 1540's, once I've done this sheet I'll be back to work on a few flags I've been promising for a while, cheers Pete

Elizabethan Demi Lancer

Here's a couple of pictures of my first demi lancer  for use with Donnybrook rules. The figure is a simple conversion of the excellent Elizabethan general figure from Crann Tara miniatures; to have a look how simple here's the link to prove it http://www.cranntaraminiatures.co.uk/
 cheers Pete

Something a little different

Here's a pic of my representation of the flags for the 1st Jyske and the Schleswig Cavalry regiments from the Scanian War. This completes the first Scanian War flag sheet  however there will be more to come but first I've some Burgundians to finish and some Yorkists to get started. cheers Pete
