French Italian Wars Flags

Here's my representation of the flags of Louis de Tremouille and Gaston de Foix. Tremouille's flag is taken from the siege of Dijon tapestry  a link can be found on Stuart Mulligan's website and Foix's banner is based on a contemporary etching of the battle of Ravenna.  Although Foix's arms have a red bull on a yellow field the etching clearly shows the field being darker than the bull, as it was pretty common in Italy to reverse colours I've went with the etching.

  1. Nice to see you back Pete. I love the barding effect, you do know I will have to plagiarise the designs.
    Thanks Robbie

  3. There's a book on the 1513 siege of Dijon due out now. It's in French but looks to be quite well illustrated. Good work on these flags, nice to see some individual banners, fingers x'd for more !

  6. Looking very good. I'm going to need Tremouille's wheel banner (Marignano 1515) for a convention game in 2015.
