Flodden Reenactment

Here's a few pics of the reenactment of the Battle of Flodden  at Etal village today. Everyone was very friendly and it turned out to be a great day out; I'm looking at the Perry plastics now and wondering how much work it would take to convert them. Also  I'd like to thank everyone who posed for the pictures, cheers.

  1. Great pictures, funny to see some familiar faces appearing on your blog. My group had an invite to this but we didn't attend, its interesting to see how it looked. I like the way it doesn't look like another Wars of the Roses fight as they made an effort to have some Tudor pieces of kit as well.

  2. Hi Oli, it looked like everyone made an effort and there was a few dressed in early 16th century landsknecht style kit. mind you I don't know how they coped with the heat it was red hot up there.

    cheers Pete

  3. Looks like a great day out. Didn't know the event was on. Is it going to be a yearly event?

  4. hi Hendrid, as far as i'm aware it was a one of event for the 500th anniversary. However there's other things on at the Etal estate at the beginning of September to mark the anniversary.

Oli: I've had no look trying to sell the Marullus book, do you want to borrow it and post it back to me when you've read it?
