Flags representing the Malatesta's of Rimini. the red, white and green  flags are taken direct from  contemporary sources  whilst the others are based on coats of arms. There's one more flag to do and for the Malatesta's however it might be some while as I can't ascertain the colours, however next up is the Sforza's.  Cheers Pete.

  1. These flags look fantastic, I look forward to the Sforza ones, do you have plans to do any more for the city states?

  3. Hi Pete, I was thinking perhaps of Pisa, although I am not sure what the flags look like for this city.

Colonna and Orsini would be great for my later Italian wars stuff. The flags you have done so far are great and will work really well with the new Perrys Italians.

  4. Hi Oli, I haven't got any info on Pisa other than they carried an all red flag. the Orsini are on the to do list, so far I've got enough to complete 4 flags however I would like to complete a standard for Alviano to command my Venetians. The Colonna have been even more difficult to track down other than the usual white column on a red background. Even me recent trip to Rome didn't uncover anything for these but that might have had more to do with the wine being 4 euros per half litre. cheers Pete

  5. All I have ever been able to find for the Colonna is the same, the pillar on a red field.
The Sforza, Orsini and Alviano flags all sound great, I am sure I will be placing an order!
